Escutcheon blanks
In the cases when a distribution is not fully equipped with circuit breakers it can be of interest to cover the empty slots with a “dummy plate” or escutcheon blank as we say. This can be of interest both from a safety point of view as well as for better appearance. We have ready solutions for both our rail mounted products with 57 mm front escutcheon as well as for the most of the front mounted CBE products.

Our most popular version of the B-frame is the version with rocker handle which is snapped into place in a square front hole. Here we have a cover that either can be snapped into place just like the circuit breaker but also fixed at the terminals in the cases when you to not have any frame in the front.

We also have a cover for the DD-frame range. When installed it will make a flat surface with the enclosure and have the same finish as the circuit breaker. It is installed with the same type of M3 screws as the circuit breaker. The M3 inserts are included with the escutcheon blank.

We also have cover solution for our rail mounted MCBs with 57 mm front escutchon. It consist of a square flexible panel wich is snapped into the escutcheon where there is empty positions. Each panel consists of 12 modules, each 6,5 mm wide, which can be broken off to fit the space required. Meaning it will fit both MCBs with 13 mm modular width as well as 26 mm. Also versions with or without the 6,5 mm wide auxilliary switch.

why choose hy-mag circuit breakers?
Always keep rated current regardless of temperature
The main advantage of HY-MAG circuit breakers over traditional thermal-magnetic MCBs is their insensitivity to ambient temperature variations. HY-MAG breakers maintain their rated current capacity from -40°C to +85°C, while thermal-magnetic MCBs only perform reliably at room temperature.
At around 30°C, thermal-magnetic MCBs can only handle about 75% of their rated current, requiring de-rating. This de-rating often leads to the need for higher-rated (and more expensive) MCBs, as well as increased costs for cables and busbar systems, along with reduced accuracy in applications.
