Emcomp’s hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers provide safe and reliable protection against overload and short-circuit. The hydraulic-magnetic design enable compact circuit breakers that withstand harsh environments. Ideal for a wide range of applications.
Our battery circuit breaker, the DD-frame, is a CBE product,. CBE stands for “Circuit Breaker for Equipment”, which is intended for mounting in a front cover or similar. If you would like to use a DD-frame in an easy way but are missing front plate/enclosure to mount it in we have developed a bracket that easily can be mounted on any flat surface. It is made of very durable Aluzinc steel. Application example is for instance if you have a battery system or similar that you wish to protect but you have no enclosure or maybe limited space in your existing enclosure. The recommended usage is one holder for a single pole breaker and two holders for 2-5 pole breakers.

For circuit breakers with standard toggle handle the bracket can be used on both sides. That means, you can use the same part number on both sides of the circuit breaker.
If you are using a circuit breaker with Flush-Rocker handle the panel cut out is asymmetric and therefore it requires two different versions of holder depending on if the holder should be mounted to the left or right side of the circuit breaker.
Part number for standard toggle handle, fits on both side of the CB: EC210102-1
Part number for Flush-Rocker handle with mounting on the left side of the CB: EC211805-1
Part number for Flush-Rocker handle with mounting on the right side of the CB: EC211805-2
Always keep rated current regardless of temperature
The main advantage of HY-MAG circuit breakers over traditional thermal-magnetic MCBs is their insensitivity to ambient temperature variations. HY-MAG breakers maintain their rated current capacity from -40°C to +85°C, while thermal-magnetic MCBs only perform reliably at room temperature.
At around 30°C, thermal-magnetic MCBs can only handle about 75% of their rated current, requiring de-rating. This de-rating often leads to the need for higher-rated (and more expensive) MCBs, as well as increased costs for cables and busbar systems, along with reduced accuracy in applications.
Advantages of HY-MAG Circuit Breakers
Immediate reset after tripping Unlike thermal magnetic MCBs, HY-MAG breakers can be immediately reset after an overload.
Dedicated products for AC and DC HY-MAG breakers are specifically designed for either AC or DC applications to handle differences in breaking currents and prevent arc extinguishing issues.
Energy efficiency HY-MAG breakers have about 45% lower internal resistance than thermal magnetic MCBs, reducing energy loss and costs.
No aging of the sensing device HY-MAG’s sensing mechanism is hermetically sealed, avoiding exposure to air, humidity, and pollution, ensuring long-term reliability.
Worldwide approvals HY-MAG products meet high certification requirements according to both European (IEC 60947-2) and American standards (UL489/UL489A or UL1077).
